THE Avalon Nursery Spring Garden at SpringFest is set to have something for very gardener or plant lover to enjoy.<\/p>\n
Based opposite the Gatekeepers Cottage, there will be plant sales, growers available, talks, paint-a-pot activities for children, and experts on hand to discuss anyone\u2019s garden needs.<\/p>\n
Rapid Tree Solutions are also set to put on a spectacular display of tree-climbing with ropes; a rare specialist trade that requires no machinery.<\/p>\n
Avalon Nursery\u2019s Nick Widgery said the business aims to support the community wherever they can, so SpringFest is the perfect opportunity.<\/p>\n
His colleague Andrew Manson said nursery staff are looking forward to getting out and about to meet people, as the business is under new management.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe just took over the nursery, so we want to let people meet us around Ballarat, show people what we\u2019re about and what we can do,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to talking to everyone about plants, doing some activities with the kids, and seeing everyone out having a nice day in the sun around the lake.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Friends of Ballarat Botanical Gardens will be based at the Gatekeepers Cottage with BotaniKIDS displays.<\/p>\n
Rotary Club of Ballarat\u2019s SpringFest is on Sunday, 27 November, 10am to 4pm, presented by Optus. All funds raised go back to the community.<\/p>\n
More than 500 market stalls will be based in the gardens precinct, alongside events and activities.<\/p>\n
