CREATIVE space provider Ballarat Evolve\u2019s first-ever open night is set to take place next week.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, 8 November, everyone is invited to the free event at The Unicorn Hotel, which aims to highlight the organisation, what they do, and how people can utilise their service.<\/p>\n
Ballarat Evolve offers shopfront studios for people wanting to develop their creative practice or business, and board member Mick Trembath said the evening will be informal yet informative.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat we\u2019ve done in the past is talk to artists individually, so we thought rather than that, we\u2019d have a big information night,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverybody can come along, ask questions, get all the information they need and then be able to apply for a space.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s also a chance for them to meet the team… past and current artists and get a really good feel for everything in our world.\u201d<\/p>\n
The event will include an explanation of the application process required to secure a space through Ballarat Evolve.<\/p>\n
Mr Trembath said the organisation caters for a variety of individual needs.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe look for people currently working as high-end amateurs that want to transfer into a more professional arts or business practice,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat we do is offset rentals so people can have more time to dedicate to their artistic practice or setting up their business and really taking those steps forward.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese regular nights will… give everybody a bit of time to think about what they\u2019d like their practice to be. When we get new spaces, we can incorporate people into it.\u201d<\/p>\n
