Photos: EDWINA WILLIAMS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>President Ken Maybery said the shed\u2019s aim is to be a place for people to go to chat with their neighbours, to learn new skills, and work on projects, much like a men\u2019s shed but for everyone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have three builders that are prepared to help people learn how to use the lathes and do woodwork,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is the whole reason for men\u2019s shed? It\u2019s really for mental health, to socialise, and it doesn\u2019t matter how old or how young you are, we\u2019re a community skills shed. He had a boat and used to come out every weekend to ski.
