WATER authority Central Highlands Water is set to carry out routine maintenance for Ballarat and surrounds\u2019 supply network.<\/p>\n
The program got underway on Tuesday and is expected to last for about two months, during which CHW\u2019s method of water disinfection will be temporarily altered.<\/p>\n
Managing director Jeff Haydon said the regular works are an important part of maintain CHW services in the utility\u2019s supply area.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe routine maintenance program for our Ballarat supply network ensures the water supply mains remain in their best condition, and we continue to supply high-quality drinking water to our customers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a result of these works, some customers may experience a slight difference in taste and odour.<\/p>\n
\u201cHowever, customers can be assured that water supplied through our network will continue to meet required drinking water standards and is, at all times, safe to drink.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur team at CHW work hard to deliver consistently high-quality water to our region, and was proud to be one of the finalists in the 2022 Ixom Best Tasting Tap Water in Victoria.\u201d<\/p>\n
A statement from CHW said locations covered by the works include, \u201cBallarat and suburbs, Ballan, Bungaree, Buninyong, Cambrian Hill, Cardigan Village, Carngham, Corindhap, Creswick, Dereel, Enfield, Flagstaff Hill, Gordon, Haddon, Invermay, Linton, Magpie, Mount Egerton, Napoleons, Nintingbool, Pittong, Rokewood, Ross Creek, Rowsley, Scarsdale, Skipton, Smythes Creek, Smythesdale, Snake Valley, Yendon, Wallace, Warrenheip and Windermere.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
