{"id":90163,"date":"2023-01-13T04:56:23","date_gmt":"2023-01-12T17:56:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/?p=90163"},"modified":"2023-01-12T21:31:12","modified_gmt":"2023-01-12T10:31:12","slug":"tafe-to-educate-next-gen-nurses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/news\/tafe-to-educate-next-gen-nurses\/","title":{"rendered":"TAFE to educate next gen nurses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A NEW generation of regional Victorian nurses are set to be educated at Federation TAFE, with the institution launching a diploma of nursing traineeship program this year.<\/p>\n<p>Grampians Health is partnering with FedTAFE to lead the face-to-face and online traineeship program, which will aim to address nursing shortages across the state and offer students pathways to employment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFederation TAFE is committed to providing the highest quality of enrolled nurse education,\u201d said Helen Ryan-McDermott, FedTAFE\u2019s head of centre, health, and community services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe traineeship model between Federation TAFE and Grampians Health is an Australian first and very exciting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe traineeships will address critical nursing shortages and support Grampians Health facilities in Ballarat and the Wimmera in a grow your own workforce model.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe partnership is a great example of education and industry working together. I am very proud of the Federation TAFE team in working together to achieve this outcome.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A five-year accreditation for FedTAFE\u2019s revised diploma of nursing qualification from the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council has also been secured.<\/p>\n<p>FedTAFE is the first Victorian education provider to get this nursing qualification accreditation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReceiving five-year accreditation from ANMAC for the diploma of nursing program is an endorsement of the quality of our nursing course at Federation TAFE,\u201d said Federation University deputy vice-chancellor and chief executive TAFE Liam Sloan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCongratulations and well done to all in the program team to secure this important registration.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A NEW generation of regional Victorian nurses are set to be educated at Federation TAFE, with the institution launching a diploma of nursing traineeship program this year.
