When Mandy Woolley saw the opportunity to purchase a business in November 2021, she and her partner Nick Kelly jumped at it.<\/p>\n
“We knew that we worked well together and with our collective hospitality skill sets and experience spanning over three decades that we could make it work,” Mandy said.<\/p>\n
“Taking over a business in the shadows of the COVID-19 pandemic was risky, especially a hospitality business as we knew of many that didn\u2019t survive through COVID.<\/p>\n
“We were lucky that the restrictions placed on hospitality lifted within the first few weeks and the phone didn\u2019t stop ringing making us busier than we could have ever imagined.”<\/p>\n
They decided to rebrand about six months later, both wanting to put own unique spin on an already well-established local business.<\/p>\n
Mandy said seeing their vision come together as the new logo was created and the rebrand took shape was a very proud moment as the duo became known as Lady & The Fox Catering and Events.<\/p>\n
“Being a woman in business, especially hospitality is both rewarding and challenging where every day is different,” Mandy said.<\/p>\n
“It can be physically demanding and the hours long.<\/p>\n
“I believe that women can do anything they set their mind too in any career they choose if they believe in themselves.<\/p>\n
“Being told that you can\u2019t because you\u2019re a woman only makes you more determined to succeed and push forward.<\/p>\n
“Finding your passion and turning it into something you can be truly proud of takes hard work, a lot of determination and being open to learning new things.”<\/p>\n
Mandy said Lady & The Fox has partnered with some amazing local businesses and has grown relationships with key stakeholders in the region.<\/p>\n
“We also support local charities by re-distributing all surplus food products which in turn reduces our impact on the environment,’ she said.<\/p>\n
“From the moment a booking is made with our team, whether it be a box of assorted sandwiches or a three-course sit down dinner our service principals are the same.”<\/p>\n
Lady & The Fox Bakehouse is a DIY style catering which can be ordered directly through their website or via email\/phone and can be collected from the business’ base in Grovedale or delivered anywhere in the region.<\/p>\n
Mandy said the Bakehouse was popular for home or office entertaining because it suited a range of occasions, from birthdays, hen\u2019s parties and family gatherings to conferences, workshops and working lunches.<\/p>\n
“We have a range of packages to suit any occasion whether it\u2019s a sit-down dinner, a wedding or a cocktail party and everything in between,” she said.<\/p>\n
“We specialise in offsite catering where our team will transport all equipment onsite, set up, run the event, pack down and return everything back to our base at the conclusion.<\/p>\n
“Our operation is seamless, leaving our clients to enjoy themselves as much as their guests.<\/p>\n
“We believe that by consistently providing outstanding service and through creating fresh and modern culinary experiences for our clients we can ensure that their guests\u2019 experience is a memorable one and this is something that we can be extremely proud of.”<\/p>\n
