THE CITY of Ballarat is asking people to have their say on public toilets within the municipality.<\/p>\n
For the next month, people can give feedback on the current and future state of public toilets in the City by completing a short survey with the aim of helping create a draft public toilet strategy.<\/p>\n
The strategy will consider how current toilet facilities meet the needs of families, older people, people with a disability, and the LGBTQI+ community.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe public toilet strategy will inform how the City of Ballarat plans, provides, designs and manages public toilets,\u201d said mayor Cr Des Hudson.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to provide high quality, inclusive and accessible public toilets that are safe, clean and cater for the needs of all residents, workers and visitors to the City of Ballarat.”<\/p>\n
Currently there are 57 toilets across the region with nine being newly built since 2015.<\/p>\n
