COMMUNITY input is wanted on how to improve seven of the City of Ballarat\u2019s smaller open spaces.<\/p>\n
The feedback is set to form part of the Neighbourhood Parks Improvement Program that\u2019s aiming to design spaces in collaboration with residents and provide upgrades.<\/p>\n
Feedback is wanted in relation to accessibility, attractiveness, and usability with the final designs also to include natural shade and increased pedestrian connections.<\/p>\n
The parks included in the program include Yarana Drive Park, Victoria Street Reserve, Kowree Crescent Reserve and Drummond Street Reserve.<\/p>\n
Clover Street Reserve, Gregory Street Reserve and Marigold Street Reserve are also set to be upgraded.<\/p>\n
Mayor Cr Des Hudson said the parks had been selected based on requests from users.<\/p>\n
\u201cParks that are chosen have not had upgrades in more than 15 years or so and have older equipment that no longer suits the needs of the community that use the spaces or have been nominated through a community request,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
