ANOTHER round of applications to the City of Ballarat\u2019s Community Impact Grants Program is now open.<\/p>\n
The scheme is designed to provide benefits to the community in areas such as sustainability, inclusivity, and community capacity building.<\/p>\n
Local not-for-profits, groups and associations can apply for the funding which ranges from $500 to $20,000.<\/p>\n
The program aims to strengthen ties between groups and community members by funding priority areas.<\/p>\n
Applications will be assessed by a committee of three councillors, representatives of local organisations, and community members.<\/p>\n
City of Ballarat spokesperson Cr Tracy Hargreaves encouraged members of the community to apply for the grants.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are proud to be able to contribute to groups that can find it difficult to fund such worthy projects,\u201d said Cr Hargreaves.<\/p>\n
\u201cI strongly encourage anybody who is part of a local not-for-profit group to consider applying if they meet the criteria.\u201d<\/p>\n
Previous recipients include the Ballarat Ballet Eisteddfod, Cardigan Windermere Landcare Group, Learmonth Community Skills Shed and Ballarat South Senior Citizens Club.<\/p>\n
Applications close on Friday 15 September and can be made via the City of Ballarat website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
