TWO new drinking fountains have been installed at Sebastopol Primary School with the aim of teaching students the importance of drinking tap water.<\/p>\n
The fountains are part of Central Highlands Water\u2019s choose tap program that aims to educate people about the importance of drinking six to eight glasses of water per day.<\/p>\n
The benefits could include better health and hydration, a longer attention spans, and the ability to concentrate.<\/p>\n
Sebastopol Primary School principal Michelle Wilson said it was exciting to turn the tap on the new fountains.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhether we\u2019re doing outdoor activities or in the classroom, we understand the importance for students and staff to keep hydrated throughout the day at school,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
This new drinking fountain showcases the benefits of why choosing tap is important to everyone\u2019s health and hydration.\u201d<\/p>\n
Central Highlands Water head of capital delivery Alison Pitcher agreed that it was important to promote healthy habits in schools.<\/p>\n
