FIREY fun is set for Kryal Castle later this month as dragons arrive to meet and greet visitors.<\/p>\n
Running from Saturday 16 September until Sunday 1 October and again on the weekend of Saturday 7 October and Sunday 8 October, there will be a range of activities for dragon enthusiasts and the whole family.<\/p>\n
Last year\u2019s event was a sell out and CEO Bart Hamilton said this is due to the wide popularity of the mythical creatures.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe launched it last year and we just got a huge community of positive feedback,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think there\u2019s a bit of sweet spot at moment and I think Games of Thrones brought dragons back into the cultural thought process.\u201d<\/p>\n
Visitors will be able to meet Igneos the Wyvern, Binda the Australian Sea Sweeper Dragon, and dragon trainers Stevie and Gapa.<\/p>\n
On Saturday 23 September there will be a special dragon feast where guests can have a three-course meal and see a night-time fire joust<\/p>\n
There will also be baby dragons on display in the nursery, a dragon egg hunt, dragon spell casting and more.<\/p>\n
\u201cLast year we had two dragons and this year we have five dragons, we\u2019ve got a dragon egg trail that kids can go around and all of our usual Kryal Castle stuff which is dragon themed,\u201d said Mr Hamilton.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got dragon warrior training for the older adults when you learn knife skills and how to bear a dragon on a fight.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s kind of something for everyone and I think that\u2019s why we saw such a positive response last year.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Hamilton said all these elements mean everyone will find something entertaining at the festival.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople love it from all different ages and gendered so it\u2019s not skewed one way and we get a nice mix of young, old, male, female and everything in between,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
