SENIOR piano students of music teacher Bronislaw Sozanski will be sharing their talents at the upcoming Piano for Pleasure concert.<\/p>\n
The event will take place on Sunday 12 November from 2pm in the Synod Hall of the Anglican Cathedral on Lydiard Street South.<\/p>\n
The initiative has been running for more than 20 years and aims to provide the students with performance experience as well as allowing them to share their talents with the community.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s concert will include Hannah Cao, Travis Wang, Benjamin Bi and Limor Chen.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe usually do three or four a year and it gives senior students the opportunity to play and the experience of performing for the community,\u201d said Sozanski.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a one-hour concert and is really ideal for families to come along to.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite the pianists being students, Sozanski said it is a high-quality performance.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s actually quite a mature performance in the presentation,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s a really good afternoon of piano music.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt gives them an awareness that they\u2019re doing something for people which they really enjoy.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat way as they get into higher levels of music and are potentially studying music at a higher level, they have this experience.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sozanski encouraged the community to come along and have an enjoyable afternoon.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope people enjoy the music that they\u2019re hearing,\u201d he said. \u201cMost people also enjoy seeing young people achieve even if they don\u2019t know them because they\u2019re making a contribution.\u201d<\/p>\n
The concert is free to attend, however, donations are welcomed and they support Cathedral Music Foundation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
