{"id":98476,"date":"2023-12-08T04:57:49","date_gmt":"2023-12-07T17:57:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/?p=98476"},"modified":"2023-12-06T15:14:33","modified_gmt":"2023-12-06T04:14:33","slug":"post-malone-headlines-sell-out-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/news\/post-malone-headlines-sell-out-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Post Malone headlines sell out festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THOUSANDS of attendees from Ballarat and around the state were at Victoria Park last weekend to see sold out music festival Spilt Milk.<\/p>\n<p>American rapper Post Malone was the biggest drawcard for many who travelled specifically to see his performance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe lineup made us want to come and I\u2019m most excited to see Post Malone,\u201d said Bianca Hazeldene, who travelled to the event from Melbourne.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe highlight of the day is definitely the music.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith a line up like these we would absolutely come back in future years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ms Hazeldene and her friends said they were impressed with how smoothly the event ran, being easily able to find a car park and waiting in a short line to enter the festival.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_98478\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-98478\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-98478\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2023\/12\/Spilt_Milk_2023_Miriam_Friends-1-web-600x380.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"380\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-98478\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nellie Ferguson, Rhianna Flenley, Miranda Brown, Guinny Nunes (front), Johnny Lawler, Deegan Willingham, Owen Walsh and Max Squire.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Natalie Middleton and four of her friends travelled to the festival from Benalla and were most looking forward to seeing Post Malone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe travelled all the way because of the vibes, the music and Post Malone,\u201d she said. \u201cThis is our first time and the line up made us want to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The group had never been to Ballarat before and said they found the city a beautiful place to visit.<\/p>\n<p>Local resident Sean Willes said it was great to have a large event drawing crowds to town.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s about supporting local businesses and seeing Post Malone,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s great seeing everyone in Ballarat come together and love it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt brings a lot of revenue, makes the traffic a bit hard, but its great seeing local businesses getting that support.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THOUSANDS of attendees from Ballarat and around the state were at Victoria Park last weekend to see sold out music festival Spilt Milk.
