MEMBERS of the Committee 4 Warrenheip have released the Reconnect Warrenheip Master Plan.<\/p>\n
The aim of the document is to map out the revitalisation and redesign of the Warrenheip Recreation Reserve to encourage activity and strengthen neighbourhood connections.<\/p>\n
The plan includes the establishment of improved sporting and outdoor activity facilities, the rehabilitation of the wetlands, and some walking tracks.<\/p>\n
It has received $10,000 worth of funding from the nearby Buninyong, and Ballan and District community banks.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis project goes beyond the physical transformation of the reserve,\u201d said Committee 4 Warrenheip chair Julian Prendergast.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an opportunity to strengthen community bonds, promote wellbeing, and create lasting memories.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a Warrenheip resident, I\u2019m excited about the positive impact this project will have on our community.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Committee 4 Warrenheip has employed Wattle Flat\u2019s Thomson Hay Landscape Architects to work on designs.<\/p>\n
\u201cTheir expertise will ensure thoughtful land use, preservation of natural assets, and the creation of a valuable community asset aligned with the community’s vision and priorities,\u201d a statement from the committee said.<\/p>\n
Made up of local volunteers, the Committee 4 Warrenheip was established in recent years with the aim of boosting the area\u2019s pride and the spirit of residents, to improve facilities, and the suburb\u2019s overall health and wellbeing.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe project will invite community members to get involved through volunteer opportunities, community workshops, and shared outdoor experiences,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the coming weeks, residents will be offered a platform to learn more about the project, ask questions, and share their ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n
