GAIA Retreat & Spa has launched a new package designed specifically for women going through menopause and perimenopause.
General manager Emily Griffin said the team decided to introduce the four-night Rebalance package due to strong demand as there aren’t many experiences available in Australia catering to the market.
“We have received so much feedback from women looking for more support whilst going through life’s hormonal challenges,” she said.
“We are excited to lead the way in this space.
“In 2024, the Australian Senate released the findings from its inquiry into issues related to menopause and perimenopause, which highlighted the fact women do not always receive adequate support to manage their symptoms and feel unheard and dismissed.
“While not every woman experiences menopausal symptoms, as a need to recognise this significant stage in life and rather than shy away from the transition, we use it as a chance to reset.”
As well as nutritious meals, the package includes a 90-minute traditional Chinese medicine consultation, a 90-minute lymphatic drainage massage or Ayurvedic massage and a 90-minute vitamin intensive facial with cell renewing LED light therapy to assist with loss of collagen, dryness, sensitivity and dull skin.

“Each therapy has been hand-picked by our expert team and tailored to help guests reconnect and regain balance across the mind, body and nervous system with purpose-designed treatments to alleviate menopause syndrome symptoms,” Ms Griffin said.
Guests can also take part in daily yoga classes and other retreat activities, use the magnesium pool, sauna, spa pool, gym, tennis courts and e-bikes and go for nature walks.

Ms Griffin said the hinterland retreat, which was co-founded by Olivia Newton-John, offers a 10 per cent locals’ discount.
“Gaia is wonderful because it feels a world away, but you don’t have to cross time zones and endure the associated travel stress,” she said.
