THE Brunswick Picture House presents an evening of two of Australia’s finest performers in an all-new cabaret show of musical brilliance and witty storytelling on Friday, September 13.

Blake Bowden and Phil Scott: Impossible Dreams showcases the two cabaret stars together again, reprising classical musical theatre roles and redefining the phrase ‘in between jobs’.

Musical director and comic Phil Scott is between Priscilla the Party! and The Wharf Revue, and leading musical theatre star Blake Bowden is between The Rocky Horror Show and Carousel.

The all-new Impossible Dreams cabaret show brings the two performers back together in what promises to be captivating performances and a hefty dose of fine stagecraft and their unique rapport.

Scott is a 40-year veteran of the stage and is best known for Sydney’s annual Wharf Revue, which has delighted audiences for 25 years. His notable cabarets include Reviewing the Situation, Mario (with Bowden), Newley Discovered, and 30 Something. He worked as a writer on Priscilla, The Musical, and various ABC TV series.

Bowden was recently playing Brad and the Frank n’ Furter alternate in the 50th anniversary production of The Rocky Horror Show. He starred as Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera at the Sydney Opera House and The Arts Centre Melbourne and was nominated for a Helpmann Award for his role as Elder Price in The Book of Mormon. He also performed in Sweeney Todd, Fiddler on the Roof, and South Pacific.
