THE indefatigable queen of rock and roll, Suzi Quatro, hits the Tweed in January as part of her world tour. On her 40th Australian tour, the high demand has seen her include three concerts at Twin Towns.

The full theatre show Rockin On is billed as one with ‘no limits’, with the artist taking audiences through a retrospective of her rich career that changed rock music for women artists forever.

Quatro is a legitimate rock n’ roll legend who maintains an unbridled energy and stage presence after six decades of touring. Her renowned bass guitar and powerhouse vocals are undiminished, as is her charm as an artist and performer.

Australia inhabits a deep place in the artist’s heart.

“Looking back on my career, 60 years now in the biz, and now my 40th tour of Australia, I still can’t believe it,” Quatro said.

“Since my first time in 1974, with two tours that year, I fell head over heels for Australia, with the country and the people, everything about it.”

She is famous for her smash hits, Can The Can, 48 Crash, If You Can’t Give Me Love, She’s in Love With You and the unforgettable Devil Gate Drive. 2023 marked the 50th anniversary of the number one hit, Can the Can.

In recent years, Quatro has continued to hit major milestones. Her documentary Suzi Q was a critical success, released firstly in Australia in 2019, followed by the UK and then across Europe and the United States.

If her 2021 album with her son Richard, The Devil in Me and the 2022 Uncovered released on Sun Records weren’t enough, Quatro followed up with a duet album with singer/songwriter guitarist KT Tunstall, Face to Face.

In 2024 she thrilled crowds with her Red Hot Summer Tour at Rochford Winery, performing a memorable Stumblin In with The Screaming Jets’ Dave Gleeson.

Quatro takes no prisoners and reckons audiences should be ready to rock.

“Australia and me? We just love each other. It has been an ongoing affair, and we should never get married! I will keep coming as long you will have me. It’s my second home”.

Quatro plays three dates, January 17, 18 and 19. For information and tickets, visit duetgroup.com/suziquatro2025.html#
