Bold new indoor playground set to open
A NEW indoor play space is set to open in Bangalow’s industrial estate this August, directly opposite Common People Brewing Co.
Spanning two levels, the neon-lit YASI Fun Club will feature an LED spiral slide, rainbow ball pit, a rock climbing wall and climbing net.
There will also be carnival-type games, light projections and disco balls suspended from the ceiling.

Founder and creative director Jasmine Porra, who is based at Skennars Head, said the industrial estate provided her with the opportunity to lease a building big enough to bring her vision to life and create a custom-built space from scratch in a factory-style building with high ceilings, lots of floor space and plenty of parking.
“Our two-hour ‘drop-and-go’ sessions make it easy for parents to sneak off for a guilt-free pizza or brew as it’s directly across the street from Common People Brewing Co,” she said.

With a background in graphic design, photography and fashion, Porra has poured her creative passions into the project. YASI is the name of her art and design brand.
“It embodies boldness, individuality and an unapologetic pursuit of creativity,” she said. “As for ‘Fun Club’, well, that part’s pretty self-explanatory. It’s a place designed for joy, colour, movement and play.

“YASI Fun Club has been a massive creative undertaking and a true labour of love. I want it to be a place where kids feel inspired, free and fully themselves. It’s loud, it’s colourful, it’s a little wild. I cannot wait to open the doors and share it with the community.”
YASI Fun Club is scheduled to open on August 20. It will be open Wednesday to Friday and Sunday and can also be booked for birthday parties, photo shoots and other private events.
