Byron Shire community to shine

THE BYRON Shire Community Awards celebration returns to laud and applaud hard-working Byron residents striving to make a difference.

The esteemed evening will be held on Tuesday, August 6 at Brunswick Picture House.

The annual award ceremony recognises and celebrates outstanding individuals, groups, businesses, and organisations that make the shire a great place to live.

The accolades commend a variety of categories such as Community Member of the Year which recognises the outstanding contributions to community and achievements by an individual.

Other categories include Young Community Member of the Year, Community Initiative of the Year, In Business for Good, Caring for Country Award, Access and Inclusion Award, Creativity Award, Contributions to Health and Wellbeing Award.

The night of celebration and recognition will include inspiring stories from local community members and live entertainment by talented local artists while honouring the work of individuals and groups in working to make life better for the region’s residents.
