A RECORD profit will see vital funds injected into Teven-Tintenbar Public School after big crowds flocked to its annual country fair.
The event has been running for 31 years with the P and C using the funds for multiple projects at the school.
It originally started as a one-off country fashion fair and has grown into the school’s main fundraiser for the year.
“It was probably our biggest one yet and we’re looking at a record profit this year,” country fair coordinator Sarah Scandrett said.
“It was hard to gauge exact numbers, but with the constant flow we estimated between 3000-4000.”

Northern Rivers Jumping Castles supplied a ninja warrior obstacle course, super slide, storm swing and the wild west jumping castle.
There was also entertainment from the school choir and band as well as shows with the Wildlife Twins, who are former students at the school.
Circus Arts Byron Bay performed an acrobatic show, there was a frame of live bees at the Two Busy Bees stall, and additional music from Veronica Jean.
People were also treated to a variety of gourmet food and the popular Moo Poo raffle, which attracted donations from 70 local businesses.
The money raised will go towards new and ongoing projects at the school.

“By using these funds we have been able to build the senior playground and put air conditioning in our hall,” Scandrett said.
“One of our big goals for the future is to build a shelter over our senior playground. Our library was also damaged by a leaking roof in two separate instances this year.
“We are in the running to win a grant from the Greater Bank, however, the grant will not cover the whole cost, so some funds will go towards replacing the books and equipment.”
Funds have also been used for learning programs and purchasing computer equipment as well as supporting families in need.
