APPLICATIONS for Northern Rivers Community Foundation 2025-2026 grants are closing next week, with submissions due by September 22.
Now in its 21st year, grassroots community groups and not-for-profits across the region are invited to apply for the NRCF Annual Community Grants Round.
The grants program supports organisations that strengthen and enhance the region by addressing social disadvantage and promoting environmental sustainability.
NRCF chief executive Sam Henderson said the program continued to highlight the impact of local giving.
“Our community grants program is about giving where we live and supporting grassroots organisations who are best placed to respond to local challenges,” Henderson said.
“We’re proud to stand alongside them and help bring their projects to life for the benefit of our region.”
Applicants for the Local Impact Grants and the Community Infrastructure Fund can apply for up to $15,000 for activities, events, programs and services that create positive social and environmental change, or to purchase assets and infrastructure to create more connected and inclusive regional communities.
Established in 2003, the NRCF has distributed more than $13 million across the region’s seven LGAs, to 698 projects, across 360 community organisations.
In the 2024/25 round, a total funding pool of $327,401 was distributed to 21 community organisations across a diversity of projects, including the Ballina Hot Meal Centre, Agape Outreach and the Northern Rivers Women and Children’s Services.
Successful recipients for 2025-26 will be announced at NRCF’s annual Grant Giving Event on November 20.
Applications close on Monday, September 22, at 5 pm.
