MURWILLUMBAH’S Charity Golf Day returns on November 17, bringing a day of sports and community fundraising to the Murwillumbah Golf Club.

Funds raised will go towards Australian Sport Care Ltd. The unique non-profit organisation supports individuals and community groups to obtain equipment, education and access to sports and sporting events.

The charity works towards eliminating discrimination and helping those affected by disability, illnesses, dependencies, violence, trauma and natural disasters.

With its ethos of fitness and the healing abilities of sports (mainly focused on golf, water sports, racing, football and tennis), Australian Sports Care Ltd aims to change the lives of Australians one match at a time.

As part of the Australian Sports Foundation, outreach is focused on four broad pillars: Active Kids, Diversity and Inclusion, Women in Sport, and Sport for All.

The Murwillumbah shotgun start, four-person ambrose event suits golfers of all levels. The entry fee includes full green fees for 18 holes, a shared motorised cart, after-game entertainment, and raffles with cash giveaways and prizes.

Golf hole sponsorship is also available and includes two corflute signs at the beginning and end of the player’s designated golf hole, four full green fees for 18 holes, and shared motorised cart hire for four people.

Golfers are invited to tee off from 1pm to enjoy a round of golf with friends, fellow supporters, or as an individual player (single players can join a team on the day), and contribute to a great cause – the ongoing accessibility and future of sports for all.
