TWEED Community Clubs and charity Our Kids has collaborated to provide the Tweed Valley Hospital with critical equipment for sick babies and infants.<\/p>\n

The collaboration of ten local clubs donated $32,000 to Our Kids to purchase the PANDA Warmer Resuscitaire for the hospital’s emergency department.<\/p>\n

Emergency department Clinical Nurse Consultant Melinda Johnson welcomed the addition.<\/p>\n

“We love the new PANDA Resuscitaire and the support for medical teams providing the best possible care for the littlest patients,” Ms Johnson said.<\/p>\n

“It is a simple-to-use and vital piece of equipment that allows us to examine, monitor and treat babies on an integrated weigh scale on an examination bed, with everything we may need all in one spot.”<\/p>\n

Kingscliff Bowls Club General Manager Phil Kelly said the contribution underscored the club community’s dedication to promoting health and well-being across the region.<\/p>\n

“We are delighted to support Our Kids through our Club Grants program,” Mr Kelly said. “Tweed Community Clubs is dedicated to supporting welfare and development initiatives across the region, positively impacting the lives of those who need it most.”<\/p>\n

Our Kids is a registered charity raising awareness and funds to purchase equipment for local hospitals in the Northern Rivers. It also issues annual Community Grants for families and organisations caring for children with special needs and scholarships for paediatric teams to increase their skills.<\/p>\n

Our Kids Fundraising Coordinator, Rebekka Battista, said the donation from Tweed Community Clubs and the purchase of the PANDA marked a milestone.<\/p>\n

“Our Kids has proudly purchased and donated over $2.5 million worth of paediatric equipment for our local hospitals,” Battista said.<\/p>\n

“We rely on community donations and events to raise funds and enable us to keep purchasing vital, life-saving equipment.<\/p>\n

“We thank Tweed Community Clubs and the community that has helped make this most recent purchase possible \u2013 and everyone who has donated and supported Our Kids,” she said.<\/p>\n
