NORTHERN Rivers Stories that Stir returns to Flutterbies Cottage Cafe in Tyalgum on Sunday, August 25.<\/p>\n

Hosted by writer, editor and coach Bettina Deda, the afternoon features six storytellers, each sharing a 10-minute personal story on the theme of inspiration.<\/p>\n

Designed to break down barriers, stir conversation, and inspire positive change, the funny, moving, inspiring series and the human connection in the intimate storytelling format have received unanimous audience feedback.<\/p>\n

Annette Densham’s story Serendipitous Rise tells of being escorted from her workplace, humiliated and broken, and how, in the darkest times, unexpected opportunities can lead to a different, more fulfilling journey.<\/p>\n

In Peter Murphy’s Dance is Romance, the wake of a difficult divorce leads to a twist of fate, a new purpose, and a transforming partnership in life and dance.<\/p>\n

Becc Sahasrara overcame extreme trauma and escaped to freedom, but survival wasn’t the hard part. In Miracle and Joy, she explains why the miracle is choosing to heal and truly live in joy again.<\/p>\n

At the age of 22, Bel G Harvey was grief-stricken and resentful at her father’s passing. Years later, a spiritual experience allowed her to forgive and opened pathways to mob and reconnection to Country, which she narrates in White Life, Black Blood.<\/p>\n

Sarah Temporal’s story of using poetry to connect with strangers and its life-changing impact, Show Yourself, explores the power of revealing our hidden selves and trusting strangers with the darkest parts of our story.<\/p>\n

Karolyn E. Zynetti’s vulnerable journey, Lead with Courage, tells how creating safety within her nervous system allowed her to move from adversity to victory and make bold moves in business, travel, and trusting herself.<\/p>\n

Two ticket types are available for the 18+ event: storytelling only from 2 pm. or the lunch package from 12.30 pm. Both tickets include sparkling wine on arrival.<\/p>\n
