{"id":101415,"date":"2024-09-06T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-05T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballinatimes\/?p=101415"},"modified":"2024-09-06T15:34:13","modified_gmt":"2024-09-06T05:34:13","slug":"theres-nothing-like-a-block-party","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballinatimes\/living\/theres-nothing-like-a-block-party\/","title":{"rendered":"There&#8217;s nothing like a block party!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Tweed Museum Street Party celebrating its 20th Birthday last Saturday was a smash for young and old alike.<\/p>\n<p>From the market stalls and delicious food options to the Museum on Wheels, flash mobs by The Cassettes, collaborative community artwork and the Banana Queen, and a program of local musical talent, the event was a testament to the strong community spirit that binds us all.<\/p>\n<p>The day begins off with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony by Uncle Franc Krasna. A highlight was welcoming home two of Tweed&#8217;s Olympians &#8211; marathon swimmer and silver medallist Moesha Johnson, and fellow swimmer Isabella Rose Millar, who were joined by Paralympian Tracey Lee Barrell OAM.
