R U OK Day, a national day of action for mental health next Thursday, September 12, aims to inspire and empower people to meaningfully connect with those who may be struggling with life.<\/p>\n

In that spirit, Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School and Germinate Records are presenting the community singing event ‘Sing for R U OK Day’ at The Citadel in Murwillumbah on Monday, September 9.<\/p>\n

The Citadel’s local community singing event with school students and the community will create a choir event in support of suicide prevention for singers of all ages and abilities. Featuring Vicky Jacobs from Melbourne’s Glee Club, the free event brings locals together to connect through music and contribute to the national dialogue on suicide prevention.<\/p>\n

The 2024 theme is ‘R U OK any day’, and the campaign aims to highlight meaningful conversations on all days of the year.<\/p>\n

Germinate Records was established to provide a stepping stone for developing and emerging artists, producers, engineers and industry professionals while doing something good for the people who need it most. Its purpose is to give to others through music.<\/p>\n

The Lindisfarne and Germinate Records event aims to promote that a conversation can change a life and encourage everyone to ask, listen, take action, and check in.<\/p>\n
