Photo: DESTINATION NSW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Business NSW Northern Rivers regional director Jane Laverty said Ballina was a friendly town popular with families that was quickly evolving.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The opportunity to explore the ocean with boating adventures out of Ballina&#8217;s Richmond River has been very popular and there are a lot of foodie-based pop ups and trails,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 602px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2024\/09\/Anequinewellnessretr_28028.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"602\" height=\"401\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">An equine wellness retreat at Sugar Beach Ranch in Ballina.
