“I’m very fortunate to have the opportunity to ride full-time. I love to ride and I get to choose where I go,” he said.<\/p>\n
Carmichael’s team at the Lismore Show will include Australia’s whip king champion, Tyler Wakeford.<\/p>\n
“He’s the best rider in the country and in the top three in the world,” Carmichael said.<\/p>\n
“The quality of riders in the show is world-class.”<\/p>\n
Promising action-packed entertainment, Carmichael said fans can expect thrilling tricks.<\/p>\n
“A crowd favourite is the backflip, but we’ll be bringing even more tricks. It will be very exciting,” he said.<\/p>\n
Carmichael describes the tricks as “flipping upside down, hanging off the bike, doing some tricks, then landing safely”.<\/p>\n
While he makes it sound easy, a lot of preparation goes into putting on a show week after week and not getting injured.<\/p>\n
“Last year we had a crazy schedule. I had lots of overseas trips and maybe four weekends off,” Carmichael said.<\/p>\n
“We focus on bike maintenance and practice. We train every week to allow us to do what we do.”<\/p>\n
Aussie FMX riders will also hold meet-and-greet sessions after each lunchtime show, giving fans a chance to meet the team and grab a poster.<\/p>\n
