{"id":103090,"date":"2024-11-20T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-11-19T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballinatimes\/?p=103090"},"modified":"2024-11-13T20:36:20","modified_gmt":"2024-11-13T09:36:20","slug":"murwillumbah-tennis-club-presents-2024-winners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballinatimes\/sport\/murwillumbah-tennis-club-presents-2024-winners\/","title":{"rendered":"Murwillumbah Tennis Club presents 2024 winners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MURWILLUMBAH Tennis Club held its annual presentation night late last month at the Condong Bowling Club.<\/p>\n<p>A strong crowd of over 80 members and families enjoyed the evening of accolades and awards, as well as club activities and catering by JT&#8217;s Kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>The Life Membership Award was presented to club president manmohanjanda for his service and dedication to the club over 20 years. Janda was honoured for his generous donations of time and money over his decades of involvement since arriving in the Murwillumbah community in 1988. He has held the role of club president since 2023.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2024\/11\/tennis2_53764.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Murwillumbah Tennis Club members, families and friends enjoyed a change of pace in Condong for the 2024 presentation night. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The 2024 season has been a busy one for the club, with an uptick in players partaking in both tennis and pickleball.<\/p>\n<p>The club held Senior and Junior tennis championships and a Pickleball Club Championships tournament. Organisers thanked members for the strongest year of participation to date.<\/p>\n<p>The club congratulated the Junior cohort and said it had also been the biggest year yet for the younger players. Photos: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Soularch Healthcare returned as a sponsor for the presentation trophies.<\/p>\n<p>The club adjoining Knox Park in the CBD is open year-round, featuring hard and synthetic grass courts, a pro shop, and a two-story clubhouse. The family-oriented club is open to all levels, has a comprehensive events schedule, and offers coaching options.<\/p>\n<p>Members and non-members are welcome to book a court.
