NORTHERN Rivers filmmakers are invited to showcase their talent at the 20th Byron All Shorts, with entries now open for the 2025 competition.<\/p>\n
The short film competition celebrates the region’s filmmaking talent, offering prizes and recognition for the best local films.<\/p>\n
IQ Inc Chairperson Shane Rennie said the program provides a platform to share local stories and inspire audiences alongside international award-winning shorts.<\/p>\n
“This dedicated local short film showcase also opens doors for networking and offers further career opportunities and\u00a0exceptional profile, bringing our finalists to the attention of the local\u00a0and Australian film industry, alongside Flickerfest Australia’s leading short film festival,” he said.<\/p>\n
Filmmakers can submit works up to 30 minutes long from any genre, with entries closing on January 10, 2025.<\/p>\n
Finalists will have their films screened on March 1 at the Mullumbimby Civic Hall as part of the three-day Mullum Flickerfest, running from February 27 to March 1.<\/p>\n
Prizes valued at $3,000 will be awarded for categories including Best Short Film, the SAE Byron Bay Emerging Talent Award, and the Audience Choice Award.<\/p>\n
A panel of local industry professionals will judge the competition.<\/p>\n
