Liquidelic brings its latest performance, seamlessly fusing analogue liquid-light projection art, contemporary jazz dance, and original hybrid live music, to the Drill Hall Theatre on February 16.<\/p>\n

In the new show, Liquidelic presents two suites: The Little Princess, inspired by the beauty of nature and the beloved book The Little Prince, and The Mermaid, a life journey through light and dark.<\/p>\n

Over the past four years, the co-operative group has pushed the boundaries of live performance and collaborative composition. The shows elicit profound emotional responses from audiences by uniting world-class visual art, dance, and music into a cohesive and powerful experience.<\/p>\n

Viewers often find themselves profoundly moved, and many are overwhelmed by the spectrum of colours cascading over the performance space, sometimes leading to tearful and profound experiences.<\/p>\n

The transformative power of the show has been described as “powerful colour therapy” and “the highest form of art” by spellbound audiences.<\/p>\n

With origins in an exclusive artist community nestled in Byron Bay’s hinterland, Liquidelic unites artists from diverse disciplines.<\/p>\n

Yao Mikami is originally from Central Japan and is now a contemporary visual artist in Australia. Karen Minami is a jazz-trained dancer with more than two decades of professional experience in Tokyo.<\/p>\n

Tim Parry, a contemporary jazz musician originally from Melbourne, and Mico Sundari, a vocalist trained in traditional Japanese and Indian singing, join them.<\/p>\n

The performance is child-friendly, and chai and vegan sweets will be available for purchase.<\/p>\n
