The Sauers took over from the speedway’s longest-serving promoter David Lander when he retired after a 15-year run in 2022.<\/p>\n
He was the last promoter to run the Grafton and Lismore track concurrently, with the Corbett family ready to take on the new challenge.<\/p>\n
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to take on the promotion of Castrol Lismore Speedway,” Mick Corbett said.<\/p>\n
“We want to thank current promoters Mick and Kim Sauer for the great effort they have put in over the last three years.<\/p>\n
“We are looking forward to working with all current clubs and divisions, and possibly even some new ones.”<\/p>\n
The East Coast Grand National for Super Sedans event scheduled for April 5 was cancelled due to wet weather.<\/p>\n
