Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;This is the first Byron Bay property in quite a while,&#8221; RSL Queensland spokeswoman Kylie McLeod said. &#8220;We asked our customers where they would like to see a prize home and Byron Bay was high up on the list.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>RSL Queensland runs six major prize home draws each year through its Dream Home Art Union lottery (formerly the RSL Art Union). Funds raised go toward providing support, assistance, advice, and camaraderie to current and former Australian Defence Force members and their families.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Historically the majority of our prize homes have been in Queensland but this year alone we have already<\/p>\n<p>had a Victorian prize and now our amazing Byron Bay property,&#8221; McLeod said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 601px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/07\/ThediningroomatPortu_76000.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"601\" height=\"391\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The dining room at Portum in Byron Bay. While the home is valued at $10.85 million, the total prize package includes an additional $464,918 worth of designer furniture and appliances, plus $1.75 million in gold to help the winner live a lifestyle that matches the luxury home.<\/p>\n<p>The house was constructed using sustainable materials and includes a solar power system and EV charging station.
