CIRCUS performer Rhett Morrow and magician Jason Gray will bring the first of a planned regional tour to the Northern Rivers in a show packed with stunts, tricks and illusions.<\/p>\n

The pair have performed together on the Gold Coast for the past few years and will be in Lismore and Tweed this month to entertain hundreds of kids during the school holidays.<\/p>\n

The Magic and Circus duo have performed from shopping centres to theme parks, with crowds of up to 10,000 people.<\/p>\n

“This will be our first proper attempt at taking the show regional before going around Australia,” Gray said.<\/p>\n

“I have three kids now and I wanted to develop a family-friendly show that highlighted the best of what we both do.<\/p>\n

“We try and bring a big show feel to it; we’ve performed in front of 10,000 at the Surfers Paradise Christmas Carols and we thrive on that sort of energy.”<\/p>\n

The show includes balloon heads, a bubble show, card tricks and juggling acts, with the pair bringing their own skills to the mix.<\/p>\n

Kids from the crowd are called up to be part of the aerial performance and can help with the popular sawing-in-half trick.<\/p>\n

“I did a lot of shows with corporates and I’ve tried to bring that Las Vegas style magician style to it,” Gray said.<\/p>\n

“Our show has broad appeal and the parents can come along and get something out of it as well.<\/p>\n

“Tickets are tracking well, I think we’ve sold more than 800 at both venues which is great for people booking in early for the school holidays.<\/p>\n

“We want to try and make it as big a show as we can, these ones will be special because it will help us set the tone for what we want to do around the country.”<\/p>\n

The Lismore shows will be held at the Star Court Arcade on Tuesday, September 30, at 10.30am and 1pm.<\/p>\n

Tweed Heads shows will follow at the Civic and Cultural Centre on Wednesday, October 1, at the same times.<\/p>\n
