“It’s fantastic to have everything go to plan and I’m so stoked to win another one,” Taylor said.<\/p>\n
“I felt relieved when I won my first world title, and it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders.<\/p>\n
“My second title feels like more of an accomplishment. I worked really hard all year, in the water and in the gym, to get the win.<\/p>\n
Taylor trains twice a day, six days a week to be at his peak for performance.<\/p>\n
It showed at the ISA event with a perfect 10 and combined two-wave score of 19.83 against Australian teammate Kai Colless in the final.<\/p>\n
“Our Australian team get along so well, and we were by far the loudest on the beach,” Taylor said.<\/p>\n
“Kai also scored a 10 in the final and scored a 19.5 which is quite rare for both surfers to get a score like that.<\/p>\n
“People were saying it was one of the best surfing heats of all time, so it was pretty special to be part of.”<\/p>\n
