A NEW young professionals network will launch in the Northern Rivers in early December to help emerging leaders connect, develop their skills and strengthen their local careers.<\/p>\n

The launch event will be held at the Ballina RSL on Wednesday 3 December from 3.30pm to 6pm.<\/p>\n

The Northern Rivers Young Professionals Network is being established through Business NSW’s Regional Leaders program to support the region’s next generation of talent.<\/p>\n

Business NSW Regional Director Jane Laverty said the initiative comes at an important time as more young people choose to stay in or return to the region.<\/p>\n

“We have a growing number of young people staying in the region and others who grew up here returning sooner than ever before,” Laverty said.<\/p>\n

“I think it’s important they see the grass is just as green here as in the cities and that starts with creating meaningful opportunities for them to connect with each other.”<\/p>\n

The network is open to 20 to 39-year-olds who live and work locally and want to build career connections, strengthen leadership capability and engage with peers across industries.<\/p>\n

Participants will be able to hear from local leaders, take part in professional development sessions and contribute ideas on the future of the region.<\/p>\n

“This initiative is about building a strong pipeline of future leaders who see the Northern Rivers as a place where they can thrive, make an impact and be part of shaping what comes next for our region,” Laverty said.<\/p>\n

Business NSW is encouraging early-career workers, emerging managers and young entrepreneurs to register for the event.<\/p>\n

Registrations are essential and can be made at: https:\/\/events.humanitix.com\/northern-rivers-young-professionals<\/a><\/p>\n

Laverty said insights from participants will contribute to recommendations for the ProspER Northern Rivers Regional Economic Development Plan 2040.<\/p>\n
