{"id":112818,"date":"2026-01-25T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-01-24T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballinatimes\/?p=112818"},"modified":"2026-01-21T21:55:35","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T10:55:35","slug":"titans-to-bring-top-names-to-northern-rivers-nrl-fan-day-at-lismore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballinatimes\/news\/titans-to-bring-top-names-to-northern-rivers-nrl-fan-day-at-lismore\/","title":{"rendered":"Titans to bring top names to Northern Rivers NRL fan day at Lismore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Gold Coast Titans NRL team is hosting a Northern Rivers Fan Day at Lismore, where the community will be able to meet the players and take photos with the squad at Crozier Field.<\/p>\n<p>New coach Josh Hannay is bringing the team to the region on Saturday, February 7, for one of its final sessions before its first NRL trial game of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The Titans have some of the most exciting players in the competition, including AJ Brimson, Jayden Campbell and Keano Kini.<\/p>\n<p>Titans chief executive Steve Mitchell said bringing the NRL squad to Lismore was an important part of strengthening the club&#8217;s connection with the Northern Rivers community.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Northern Rivers has always been a vital part of the Titans&#8217; community, and our entire organisation is proud to be returning to Lismore to immerse ourselves with one of our most passionate regions,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our club has deep ties to this region, from grassroots participation to diehard fans who have been with us in solidarity since the beginning in 2007. Events like this allow us to say thank you and build even stronger connections heading into the season.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Fans will be welcome to watch training and then meet the players, grab a photo or autograph and be part of the Titans journey as we prepare for an exciting new season.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Northern Rivers produced Anthony Laffranchi and Luke O&#8217;Dwyer in Gold Coast&#8217;s foundation season in 2007, with Jaylan De Groot, Zane Harrison and Josh Patston part of the current crop.<\/p>\n<p>The Titans played a trial game at Lismore in 2021 against the Warriors and were also part of the flood recovery efforts the following year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Lismore is grateful to the Gold Coast Titans for the generosity of bringing a genuine NRL fan experience to our region,&#8221; mayor Steve Krieg said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is more than a quick visit.
