Photo: INSTAGRAM<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As design concepts evolve, building costs soar and menus await careful curation, timelines stretch to breaking point, and the pressure intensifies.<\/p>\n<p>The Belongil opened in December on the former site of Belongil Beach Italian. The development houses four venues: fine dining restaurant Feu; the more relaxed Belongil Bistro; prohibition-style bar Blind Tiger, which operates on an invitation-only basis for loyal customers; and streetside outlet Kiosk, serving toasted sandwiches, egg and bacon rolls, and homemade pastries.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_122771\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-122771\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-122771\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2026\/03\/TheBelongilhasopened_63665.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-122771\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fine dining restaurant Feu at The Belongil. Photo: DAVID COPE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth and his actress wife Elsa Pataky, who live at Broken Head, were among the first guests to experience Feu in January.<\/p>\n<p>Hemsworth posted to his 58 million followers on Instagram that it was his new favourite restaurant and thanked Bennett for what he described as &#8220;one of the most epic gourmet food adventures I&#8217;ve ever had&#8221;.
