Photo: Supplied.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The damage at Pottsville Memorial Oval has affected facilities that are used and valued by the whole community, from local sporting clubs to families and visitors,&#8221; council&#8217;s director of sustainable communities and environment Naomi Searle said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In response, Council has deployed a mobile CCTV unit to help protect the area, support NSW Police and reduce the risk of further incidents while repairs are assessed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Searle said vandalism placed ongoing strain on public assets and diverted resources away from community services.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_124845\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-124845\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-124845\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2026\/04\/IMG_2686_29523.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-124845\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Approximately 20 vertical pickets have been kicked out of various fence panels around Pottsville Memorial Oval, with most of the damage occurring on the western side of the sportsground near the tennis courts.
