MORE than 30,000 Northern Rivers businesses will be targeted through a new workshop series designed to help operators strengthen strategy, decision making and long term business performance.<\/p>\n
Business NSW Northern Rivers will launch its Business of Doing Business series across four sessions at Southern Cross University in response to growing demand for practical support and business planning tools.<\/p>\n
Regional director Jane Laverty said many businesses were facing increasing pressures while struggling to find time to focus on long term direction.<\/p>\n
“Businesses across our region are navigating rising costs, workforce pressures, uncertainty and constant operational demands, often without the time or space to step back and focus on strategy and long-term direction,” she said.<\/p>\n
The launch comes as businesses across NSW continue to face difficult conditions.<\/p>\n
Business NSW figures show 4,272 businesses entered administration across NSW between July 1 and April 19 this financial year.<\/p>\n
Laverty said the sessions had been designed around practical solutions rather than theory.<\/p>\n
“The Business of Doing Business Series has been designed by business operators for business operators,” she said.<\/p>\n
“These are practical sessions focused on real-world business challenges, with tools and ideas that people can immediately implement in their own business.”<\/p>\n
The workshops will focus on strategic planning, finance, customer engagement, digital content and broader business performance.<\/p>\n
Laverty said the sessions aimed to help businesses build resilience and improve long term outcomes.<\/p>\n
“Sometimes a single idea, a strategic shift or a moment of clarity can completely change the trajectory of a business,” she said.<\/p>\n
The workshops will be held at Southern Cross University and include sessions on strategy and growth on June 4, finance and funding on July 2, customers and digital content on September 10, and business performance later in the year.<\/p>\n
