The one-stop shop for all art lovers

The curated displays include artists at all stages of their career.

Artisans of Australia is an artist run initiative featuring a gallery, gift shop, and studios.

In 2019, local resident Helen Meikle launched Artisans of Australia in an old mechanics shed in Drysdale; It was not long before the concept outgrew the space, and in 2020 the collective moved across the road into a much larger building – the old squash courts.

They are on the move once again, to even larger premises, this time just up the road in Curlewis.

While the physical location has changed a couple of times, the core principles and ideas have remained the same – providing a warm and inviting space focused on linking the public direct with Australian Artists.

Open six days a week, the gallery and gift shop are a great place to spend your time.

Open six days a week, the gallery and gift shop are a great place to spend your time exploring the curated displays, which include artists at all stages of their career, working in a wide range of mediums and styles.

The studios are accessible, and open at set times throughout the year, for you to come along and engage direct with the artists for commissions, purchases, or just to enjoy watching them at work.

The new café area is well worth a visit after you have explored the artworks, as the new space is nestled in rural landscape, with beautiful views across the bay to the You Yangs.
