Winter in the Grove

Tina, Mia and Lucy from Mudge’s Shoes are helping generations of Ocean Grove families put their best foot forward with quality footwear and personalised service.

THE Ocean Grove Business Association has launched its exciting Winter in the Grove promotion, running throughout the entire winter season and offering plenty of reasons to shop local.

With weekly prizes of a $50 voucher to spend at a participating local business, a monthly prize for a local shop owner and a major $250 prize drawn at the end of August, there will be plenty of opportunities for winners along the way.

The promotion is designed to encourage residents and visitors to explore the outstanding range of independently owned businesses that make Ocean Grove’s town centre such a unique destination.

At Eco Coiffure, Carolyna is proving great hair and sustainable living can go hand in hand through eco-friendly products and low-tox salon services.

Every dollar spent locally helps support local jobs, strengthens the local economy and contributes to maintaining the vibrant character that sets Ocean Grove apart from larger shopping centres dominated by national chains.

One of Ocean Grove’s greatest strengths is the remarkable diversity of businesses operating throughout the town. Many people are surprised to discover just how much they can find without leaving the local area.

Serving breakfast and lunch seven days a week, Rocketman Ocean Grove is a popular meeting place for locals and visitors alike.

The shopping precinct is home to an eclectic mix of retailers offering fashion, footwear, gifts, homewares, jewellery, books, toys, hardware, bicycles, sporting equipment and health products.

Unlike many larger retail centres, Ocean Grove’s independent businesses offer a personal shopping experience, expert advice and carefully selected product ranges that reflect the needs and interests of the local community.

Whether you’re searching for a practical household item, a special gift or something unique, there is a strong chance you’ll find it locally.

Bronwyn Proud from LamiSaru Boutique is passionate about helping women look and feel their best through fashion and personal style.

Ocean Grove also boasts an exceptional hospitality sector with a fantastic selection of cafes, restaurants, bakeries and takeaway outlets.

From morning coffee and breakfast to lunch, dinner and everything in between, locals and visitors are spoiled for choice.

These businesses play an important role in creating the welcoming atmosphere that people love about the town.

Beyond retail and hospitality, Ocean Grove offers an extensive range of professional and personal services.

Local businesses provide expertise in finance and mortgage broking, accounting, real estate, photography, health and wellness, beauty and hairdressing, technology support, fitness and many other specialist services. Having such a broad range of services available locally makes it easier for residents to support businesses within their own community.

What truly makes Ocean Grove special is the people behind these businesses.

Cathy Staehr and the team at NewsXpress Ocean Grove continue to provide friendly service, everyday essentials and a valued community hub in the town centre.

Many are family-owned and operated, while others are run by local entrepreneurs who have invested their passion, experience and creativity into building something unique.

This winter, the Ocean Grove Business Association encourages everyone to rediscover what is available right on their doorstep.

By shopping locally and supporting independent businesses, residents and visitors can help ensure Ocean Grove continues to thrive while enjoying the exceptional range of products and services available throughout the town.
