Healthcare to Epic level across the Bellarine

Exciting developments are under way for the Bellarine as Epichealth Medical Clinics amplify their healthcare services across the region and welcome new doctors.

With two well-established branches in Ocean Grove and a new invigorated practice in Portarlington, Epichealth marks a new chapter in the provision of top-notch medical care for the Bellarine.

One notable addition to the Portarlington clinic is Dr Ochanya Otowo, who brings over a decade of expertise in women’s and children’s health, sexual and reproductive health, skin cancer and occupational health.

As Epichealth continues to expand its services for the community, two new dedicated GPs are also expected to join their Ocean Grove practices this month.

In recognition of this local commitment, the Epichealth Ocean Grove team was selected as a finalist in the 2023 Victorian Rural Health Awards.

Acknowledged by the Rural Workforce Agency Victoria and the Victorian Department of Health, this medical group established the first GP-run respiratory clinic on the Bellarine. Over three years, they performed 54,459 PCR tests, administered 50,411 COVID-19 vaccines, and treated 8,105 patients.

The Bellarine Respiratory Clinic recently merged with Epichealth Medical Clinic Ocean Grove and together they are now dedicated to offer an even wider range of general practice services, seven days a week, including complete family care, vaccinations, care plans, chronic disease management, skin cancer checks, mole tracking, mental health care plans, pathology services, podiatry, health assessments and more.
