Bellarine Springs powers up with second solar array

The new 225kW solar array, funded by Pinnacle Living, is projected to generate 285MWh of clean electricity annually, meeting over a quarter of the village’s total power needs to the 240 homes. This $300,000 investment marks a major milestone, making Bellarine Springs one of the first retirement villages in Victoria to successfully integrate solar systems into both new and existing properties.

“We are thrilled to bring online our second solar array, further demonstrating our commitment to sustainable living,” Pinnacle Living chief executive officer and Bellarine Springs retirement village operator Geoffery Reeve said.

 

“This investment not only benefits the environment but also allows us to continue offering our residents the most competitive energy prices in the market, a promise we’ve kept since 2008.”

The system has been designed with future expansion in mind, allowing for additional generation capacity and battery storage to be added as demand and economic conditions permit. This forward-thinking approach ensures Bellarine Springs remains at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions.
