Protecting your legacy and your loved ones

By putting the legally valid documents in place, you ensure your wishes are respected, your affairs are properly managed, and your family avoids unnecessary stress or uncertainty during challenging times.
AS AN official partner of Victorian Seniors Festival 2025, State Trustees has joined in the celebration of Victorian seniors this October.
Seniors are the pillars of our families and communities — their wisdom, resilience and life experiences shape the fabric of our society.
In recognition of their role, State Trustees is delighted to offer Victorians aged 60 and over a special discount: 20 per cent off* Wills and Powers of Attorney for bookings made by October 31.
Preparing documents such as a Will or a Power of Attorney is something that sits on the “to-do” list for far too long. Life is busy, and discussions about the future can sometimes feel daunting. Yet these are among the most important steps you can take to protect both your loved ones and your legacy.
By putting the legally valid documents in place, you ensure your wishes are respected, your affairs are properly managed, and your family avoids unnecessary stress or uncertainty during challenging times.
State Trustees’ role is to guide you through this process with care, professionalism, and compassion. Its expert team understands that every individual’s circumstances are unique, and takes the time to listen, explain, and prepare these important documents for you.
Whether your needs are complex or simple, State Trustees is here to help.
The documents State Trustees prepare include:
Will: A will is a legal document that tells people what you want to happen to your belongings and who you’d like to care for dependents and pets after you die. The clearer your instructions, the better it is for those you leave behind. Every Victorian over 18 should have a legally valid will.
Powers of Attorney: A Power of Attorney lets you choose someone you trust (called an Attorney) to step in and make decisions on your behalf when you cannot do so. You can limit the Attorney’s power to specific matters and elect when the Attorney’s powers commence should you choose to do so.
Medical Treatment Decision Maker Authority: Like a Power of Attorney, this document allows you to appoint a person or professional to legally make medical treatment decisions if you can’t due to injury or illness. You cannot appoint State Trustees as your Medical Treatment Decision Maker.
State Trustees is a Victorian government-backed company, providing financial and legal services for all Victorians at important life moments.
