ANNA WINS PT OF THE YEAR

November 1, 2018 BY

Eight years ago, Anna Vines began working out with a personal trainer, she then went on to become one and has been awarded The Anytime Fitness Australia Personal Trainer of the year.

Eight years ago, Anna Vines made a life changing decision when she said yes to starting personal training sessions with local personal trainer Sean Purcell.

Ms Vines said that soon after, Mr Purcell suggested she should get qualified herself to become a PT.

“My response was that I was 40 years old and who would want to train with me,” she said.

Regardless, she started studies and went on to become the Victorian Fitness Academy student of the year in 2010 and obtained a full-time role at Anytime Fitness Grovedale.

Club owner of Torquay and Grovedale Anytime Fitness, Paul Rodaughan, said a lot of exciting adventures had ensued for Ms Vines.

“A lot of things followed including preseason sessions for numerous sporting clubs. Three Kokoda Treks and now she works alongside Kokoda Courage to train and guide groups on the track,” he said.

“After returning from Kokoda three weeks ago, Anna was awarded The Anytime Fitness Australia Personal Trainer for the year 2018 at the 10th Annual Australian Conference in Sydney last week.

“It was in front of 800 plus attendees, 500 clubs and 1,400 Personnel Trainers.

This was quite an achievement.”

Ms Vines said she “has the best job ever” and was grateful for the opportunity to help people change their lives.

“It is so wonderful to be a part of lots of life changing moments for people. I will always be grateful to Sean for encouraging me to say yes! It’s become a good habit.”
