Are you ready to mingle IN GEELONG?

July 4, 2018 BY

The sixth Geelong & Region Business Directory event is taking place on July 6 and will give local businesses the opportunity to promote themselves and connect with other businesses and suppliers.

Local suppliers and buyers will get the chance to mingle and network at the sixth Geelong & Region Business Directory (GRBD) event happening on July 6 (tomorrow).

GRBD is a digital platform and centralised local supplier portal that makes it easy for businesses to discover and connect with local suppliers across the G21 region.

The morning is free to attend and will run from 9.30am until 11am at Runway, Federal Mills Park located at 33 Mackey Street, North Geelong.

Amy Gibson from Localised, who provide and manage the digital platform, said the GRBD events provided a fantastic opportunity for business owners of all scales.

“It’s very much about business to business connections. Businesses also have the opportunity to get up in front of the room and let people know what they do,” Ms Gibson said.

“It’s giving small businesses and sole traders an opportunity to network and let them know what they do and what they’re really about.

“They have the chance to promote what they do and as a result from the Localised Meetups, a lot of the attendees have made business connections and joined forces on particular projects.”

Ms Gibson said the format is simple, any business that provides goods and services to other businesses gets the chance to do an elevator pitch to local business people, followed by networking opportunities.

“Localised Meetups support that aim by bringing together local suppliers and local buyers from across the Geelong and G21 Region to network, connect and build meaningful business relationships,” she said.

“Come along and discover the local people behind the businesses, network and build new connections.”
