Art in three dimensions at art space

January 22, 2018 BY

The Surf Coast Art Space has launched Summer Sculpture, their newest exhibition with more than 100 pieces from 30 sculptors on show.

The exhibition presented by Geelong Sculptors Inc. features an array of works ranging from large garden pieces to wearable miniature sculptures.

Ceramic, metalwork, timber, stone, glass and mosaic media alongside natural fibres, found objects and precious metals have been shaped for the show by artists residing on the Surf Coast and Bellarine.

Organiser Cinnamon Stephens said the sculptures of all media, sizes and price points would make a perfect gift for the home, garden or as a wearable accessory.

“I am excited to show our quality, locally created artwork to the summer coastal community,” Ms Stephens said.

“Geelong Sculptors Inc. has been around for 15 years supporting and nurturing sculpture of all mediums and sculptors of all levels, members live all over the local region with a majority from the Surf Coast.”

The Summer Sculpture exhibition will be open daily from 10am-5pm with the exhibiting artists’ gallery sitting and a series of sculpture demonstrations will also be happening Saturday afternoons.
