KINGSTON Twighlight Christmas Party returned after a three-year absence.

Hosted by Kingston Ocean Grove, locals gathered at Holburn Rise Reserve, to celebrate the festive season with families and fellow residents and build community spirit.

Kingston’s Shannon Cate said 2023 was the first year since Covid that the event was able to run, with the free December event attracting about 800 to 900 attendees.

“It’s all about trying to get our community together, celebrate this time of year and get all the families out to our main reserve,” Mr Cate said.

Attendees enjoyed a range of interactive activities, food trucks and entertainment, including a visit from Santa and music from the Mik Maks.

“The Mik Maks and Santa were probably the highlight this year, that drew all of the kids to the stage,” Mr Cate said.

Children flock to the stage upon Santa’s arrival.

“Santa was handing out lollies, all of the kids wanted to talk to Santa about what’s on their wish list for the year, it was fantastic.

“It was a very well received event, very rewarding to see the community members enjoy it, it was fantastic.”
