Beer lovers CRAFTernoon delight

April 11, 2018 BY

The Bungalow Head Chef Lee Smaldon, Heath Flanagan from Wallington’s WRG Home Brewing, and Mattias Isaksson from Old Wives Ales.

BREWERS and beer lovers are invited to come along to The Bungalow’s inaugural CRAFTernoon to get up close and personal with some local brewing experts.

Brewers Mattias Isaksson and Scott Hunt have joined forces with the Wallington Rural home brewing team to take guests on a craft beer journey.

The Bungalow owner Kerry Bell said the event, taking place on Sunday April 15, was a fantastic way for people to explore home brewing in an intimate environment.

“It’s limited to just 40 patrons and guests will be offered six beer tastings each with six courses to match,” Ms Bell said.

“Between each course, guests will be treated to an education in how to make their own brew at home with a step by step demonstration from Heath, Mattias and Scott.

“Cost per person for this fun afternoon is $90, including beer on arrival, six tastings with food to match and live entertainment; guests can also return for a sample of bottled home brew that will be ready to collect two weeks after the event.”

Ms Bell said The Bungalow has done collaborations in the past and enjoyed supporting and promoting other small local businesses.

“It’s about trying to support them and promote their craft beer on the Bellarine,” she said.

“This event is a good opportunity for people to come along and try a few different beers in a relaxed atmosphere and learn how to make different styles and what equipment and ingredients are needed.”
